Racing: WIN A VIP WEEKEND TO THE LEOPARDSTOWN RACES.

HISTORY will be made at Leopardstown Racecourse on Saturday, September 11, with the inaugural running of the Emirates World Series in Ireland.

This World Series is the horse racing equivalent of Formula 1, comprising nine selected classic races run across the world in eight countries.

Today, the Irish Mirror, in association with the Stillorgan Park Hotel, have a fantastic prize for two lucky people that will include a luxury weekend stay at the hotel plus VIP treatment at the races.

A record crowd in guaranteed with the race card worth an estimated pounds 1.5 million, making it the richest racing day in Irish history. Four races will be televised live and are expected to be shown in over 200 countries world-wide.

The world series started in March this year with the Dubai World Cup and then Ascot for the second race before now coming to Ireland. It finishes in Hong Kong on December 1 after races in Canada, Australia, America and Japan.

Points are awarded to the first six finishers of every race and the horse which has won the greatest number of points will be named champion, with the owner getting a whopping pounds 1,000,000 bonus.

Our lucky winner and guest will check into the four star, 100 bedroom Stillorgan Park Hotel - just two miles from Leopardstown Race Course - on Friday, September 10, for their luxury weekend stay.

They will have dinner on Friday night, breakfast on Saturday morning and later enjoy a full hot and cold buffet served with wine , receive complimentary miniature binoculars and racecards, get the low-down from a celebrity tipster on all the runners before departing by luxury coach for the races.

At Leopardstown they will have free entrance to a private suite at the top level of the stands, receive complimentary drinks during the afternoon before returning by coach to the hotel after the races.

They will later be entertained to dinner with wine on Saturday night stay overnight and enjoy a leisurely breakfast on Sunday morning before departing for home.
