YOU could be the most popular person around next Saturday, thanks to your marvellous Mirror Racing and attheraces.

Yes, two of the biggest names in racing have joined forces to offer a lucky reader and SEVEN of his/her friends a day 'attheraces' to remember.

The attheraces Gold Cup Celebration Meeting at Sandown Park on 25th and 26th April is a unique racing experience, combining the finale to the National Hunt season with top-class Flat racing over two days at the Esher track.

There is no greater contrast than watching the top chasers going hell-for-leather over 3m 5f around Sandown's natural amphitheatre, before settling down to sort out the Derby clues from the likely lads in the big classic trial.

And you could be there with seven mates on attheraces Gold Cup day at Sandown Park next Saturday April 26, thanks to Bet Attheraces 0800 083 83 83 and Mirror Racing.

Once 'attheraces' our party will be able to enjoy a champagne reception and canapes before watching the racing in the exclusive attheraces zone in the members area, where a top tipster will be on hand to mark their card for the day.

Then, to end a perfect day, stay at Sandown Park and watch the Abba Tribute band Bjorn Again perform on stage after racing. To win this fantastic competition just ring

and answer the following question:

Which trainer saddled Bounce Back and Dark Stranger to be first and second in the 2002 attheraces Gold Cup? Was it (a) Paul Nicholls (b) Martin Pipe?

Leave your answer with your name and address and a daytime telephone number. Competition closes at midday on Tuesday April 22, so dial now. Calls will cost 60p per minute and should not last more than two minutes. Alternatively text DMGC followed by a space and then your answer to 88100. The cost of a text entry is pounds 1.50 (excluding Virgin). The winner will be chosen at random from all correct entries received by the closing date. Standard Trinity Mirror rules apply. All entrants must be aged 18 or over. Competition is not available in the Republic of Ireland.
