Racing: This Article's the one to believe in; VALUE SCOPE.
Basically you need an improver for the William Hill and we think you can close the race down to a pick out of A Glass In Thyne, Model Sun, Moulin Riche, Alderburn, Dun Doire and Bob The Builder.
We have massive respect for Moulin Riche, Dun Doire and Alderburn, but they have all been high profile in the run up to this and better value can be had elswhere.
The ground puts us off A Glass In Thyne while Bob The Builder isn't a fluent enough jumper leaving us with MODEL SUN.
His Haydock run behind the fantastically slow Ossmoses on debut for Pat Haslam has been crabbed, but there were too many good horses behind for it to be a fluke and he gets in here on the same mark.
The faster ground is to his advantage and he'll be ridden handy, so keeping out of trouble. You can take the general 16-1 in the knowledge you are going to get a great run for your money so have 2pts ew.
You need to be tons ahead of the handicapper for the Fred Winter so the likes of Royals Darling and Ouste might have been shown up too much in that good race at Sandown won by Detroit City.
While we think you want to be handy over fences here, the hurdle track isn't quite as tight and this looks made up for something who will be held up off what be be a sucidal pace.
The one we like is PROPER ARTICLE, who looks like a plot to us - he's 18-1 with Tote and Hills, so enjoy 2pts ew.
PROPER JOB: Irish challenger Proper Article has a serious chance in the closing Fred Winter Handicap Hurdle
