Racing: Kelly fills Frankie's boots.

TRAINER David Flood has booked Shane Kelly to ride his money--spinning sprinter Jonny Ebeneezer in Saturday's Great St Wilfrid Handicap at Ripon.

The Upper Lambourn trainer had warned he was not prepared to let the gelding take part in the pounds 50,000 contest unless he could find a suitable jockey, with regular partner Frankie Dettori unavailable.

Jonny Ebeneezer was bought out of a Southwell selling race in June, and has gone on to win five races rising nearly 30lb in the handicap.

Flood said: 'On Ray Cochrane's advice, Shane Kelly is going to ride.Frankie's going to have a chat, andRay assures me he has a very cool head.

'He's a phenomenal horse, he just has not stopped improving. I dearly wanted to run him as wehave to have a go at a big prize.'

Hill bet: 5-1 Jonny Ebeneezer, 13-2 Mutawaqed, 9-1 Machinist, 11-1 Pic Up Sticks, 12-1 Merlin's Dancer, Tom Tun, 14-1 Artie, Caribbean Coral, Cd Europe, Halmahera, Sir Desmond, Undeterred, 16-1
