Racing: Darryl's on a roll.

DARRYL HOLLAND was the top jockey riding at Chester yesterday and punters who took the hint were rewarded with a 33-1 treble by way of Cereus, Faithful Warrior and Peter Brueghel.

"I had a bad day here in the spring when I eased down too soon on Island House, but this has been a lot better," smiled the jockey who has ridden more winners than anyone else in the past couple of weeks.

Holland used to work for Barry Hills and he teamed up with his old boss for his first two winners. Hills loves Britain's tightest track and sent just the two runners to yesterday's meeting.

"Cereus was held up in his last race when he got beaten but we tried new tactics today by letting him lead," said Hills' rep Geoff Snook.
