Racing: Barry's the boy.

BARRY Geraghty looks the jockey to follow at Punchestown today and I expect the ex-champion to land a treble on Mutakarrim, Quest For A Star and Mr Wong.

He rode Mutakarrim to a long odds-on win over two and a half miles at Cork last time and Dermot Weld's gelding has enough pace to cope with Swordplay in the two mile Craddockstown Hurdle.

Quest For A Star did not jump well when well-beaten third behind Wimbledon on that same Cork card but Jessica Harrington is sure to have gone to great lengths to improve his fluency and he looks worth another chance in the Tote Exacta Maiden Hurdle.

Harrington also trains Mr Wong, who made a most encouraging start to his chasing career at Tralee and will be hard to beat in the Arthurstown Beginners Chase.

Statim went down in the notebook as one to avoid when she threw in the towel with the race at her mercy at Leopardstown in March.

If anybody can get her home in front it's Paul Carberry but Royal Alphabet makes more apppeal in the Event Centre Maiden Hurdle.

Carberry has significantly opted for long-time absentee It's Only Him in the handicap chase, which looks a good tip.
