Race-fixing scandal: RUNNERS AND RIDERS: OTHERS AT CENTRE OF THE ROW.

Darren Williams Stable jockey for Karl Burke, has had 43 winners this year and has been reported to the stewards several times. He produced evidence to back his claim that he lost fourth at Southwell last month because of tooth trouble but got an eight-day ban.

Feargal Lynch Also has 43 winners this year. In July, he was given a 10-day ban after being accused of failing to ride out Tancred Times for third in the Bradford Handicap at Catterick.

Karl Burke Based in Middleham, Yorkshire, and regarded as one of Britain's most up-and-coming trainers.

He has just passed 50 winners for the season. In January 2003, Burke came to the attention of stewards at Lingfield. His Legal Set was beaten into third after it drifted in the market from 9-4 to 4-1. His horse was reportedly given 'too much to do' in the Racing Post report of the race.
