Racal Instruments Introduces Industry's Latest VXI Frequency Response Analyzer.

Business Editors/High-Tech Writers

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 10, 2001

Racal Instruments Inc. introduces the industry's latest VXI Frequency Response Analyzer (FRA).

Created to improve system density and reliability for military and functional tests, the Model 2583's modular design supercedes existing bench-top FRA technology and exceeds the performance of the spectrum analyzer. Its single-sine correlation technique completely rejects unwanted harmonics, high noise, and DC making it ideal for use in aerospace, automotive, power generation, and power supply tests, as well as in transducer calibration.

The Model 2583 helps to improve system performance, quality, reliability, and safety as well as reduce cost for design, manufacture, and maintenance. Using real-time effective control in testing, the Model 2583 accurately measures precise periodic content of two totally independent input channels and computes the phase relationship between them.

Discreet frequency selection and narrow-band measurement provide users with an optimal dynamic testing range making it an ideal defect analysis tool.

The new VXI FRA Model 2583 includes VXI "plug&play" compliant support for Windows 95/98/NT/2000 platforms. Racal Instruments actively supports the 2583, as well as all of its automatic test equipment (ATE) systems, with a globally integrated field service network.

The Model 2583 is available for delivery from stock to 8 weeks and priced at $15,995 (U.S. Domestic).
