RYKOFF-SEXTON ELECTS MISCOLL TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS LOS ANGELES, July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Rykoff-Sexton Inc.
(NYSE: RYK) today announced the election of James P. Miscoll to the company's board of directors.
The election represents an increase in the size of Rykoff- Sexton's board from seven to eight members. Miscoll recently retired as vice chairman of Bank of America, where he also served as executive officer of the bank's Southern California operations. During his 30-year tenure with the bank, he held varied senior management positions, including assignments in Europe, New York, Asia and California. Miscoll had been a member of the bank's managing committee since 1982 and also served on the social policy committee, the board of trustees of the BankAmerica Foundation and BA Giannini Foundation. Prior to joining Bank of America in 1962, Miscoll served as a naval officer for five years. "Jim Miscoll's background and expertise in international trade and finance provides an added dimension to our board," said Roger W. Coleman, president and chief executive officer.
