 RYDER SYSTEM TO REDEEM TWO SERIES OF NOTES
 MIAMI, Jan. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE: R)


announced today that it has issued redemption notices for all its outstanding Series D 12.50 percent notes dues March 15, 1995 and Series I 7.75 percent notes due March 15, 1994.
 Both series of notes, which are publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange, will be redeemed at par as of March 15, 1992, together with accrued interest to March 15, 1992. Payment for the redemptions will be made on Monday, March 16, 1992.
 The redemption agent for both series of notes in The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., One New York Plaza, New York, N.Y. 10081.
