 RYAN-MURPHY ANNOUNCES ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP SPECIALIST
 OPENS VANCOUVER OFFICE
DENVER, July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Ryan-Murphy Inc. (NASDAQ: RMII), an environmental remediation firm specializing in the removal of underground storage tanks for petroleum products and cleaning of petroleum-contaminated soil, has announced the opening of a regional office in Vancouver, British Columbia. According to Ryan-Murphy President Robert Jennings, the office will be managed by Gerald W. Salberg.
Salberg has been named vice president, International and will be responsible for sales and marketing in Canada and the European markets. From 1989-1991 he was president and chief executive officer of Consolidated Environmental Technologies (CET), an environmental firm with annual revenues approaching US$100 million. CET was wholly owned by ConPress of Australia and operated in Canada, the United States, United Kingdom and Germany. Under the direction of Salberg, the firm completed a number of acquisitions, including Sanivan Inc. of Montreal; Thorne Environmental and Baker Pacific Corp. in California; and C&ME in the United Kingdom.
Salberg received his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Alberta and attended the Banff School of Advancement Management.
"Mr. Salberg brings many years of professional and corporate experience to Ryan-Murphy. With his help and direction we anticipate developing a new and profitable expansion outside the U.S.," said Jennings.
Founded in 1978, the company specialized in fuel systems construction and management for over 14 years. In 1989 the firm turned its expertise in fuel systems to the removal of underground storage tanks and subsequent clean-up of contaminated soil. Ryan- Murphy's patented Good Earth Machine (GEM) has given the clean-up company a unique edge over its competition in the soil remediation market. The GEM is a mobile, rotary kiln that literally cooks dirt polluted with short-chain hydrocarbons, including gasoline, diesel, JP4, heating oil, aviation fuel and kerosene. Ryan-Murphy maintains its corporate headquarters in Denver, with regional offices in Corona, Calif. and Los Angeles; Houston; Londonderry, N.H.; and Vancouver.
