RV SHOW VENTRILOQUIST ACT TO ENTERTAIN AT RAINBOW BABIES AND CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL ON JAN. 15

CLEVELAND, Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Willie & Company, a renowned ventriloquist act appearing throughout this year's 17th Annual Great Lakes Recreational Vehicle Show, will also entertain children at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital on Friday, Jan. 15, at 10:30 a.m. in the Rainbow Lobby. The Recreational Vehicle (RV) Show runs Wednesday, Jan. 13, through Sunday, Jan. 17, at the International Exposition (I-X) Center in Brook Park.
Featuring Peggy Miller and her partner, Willie, this extraordinary act has been entertaining children worldwide for more than a decade. Miller has the unique ability to make her audience almost completely forget that she is the actual voice behind Willie.
"Willie's singing, wisecracking and comical antics come very close to convincing audiences that he can do the show without me," said Miller.
The Willie & Company duo also appears on public television. The act currently has two nationally syndicated series on the PBS network called "Discovering Pets," a show that teaches children about animal care and responsible pet ownership, and "Camp Willie," a program that educates children about health and safety topics.
"We are very pleased to have Willie & Company visit us during their trip to Cleveland for the RV Show. I'm sure the children will enjoy this entertaining act," said Ellen Carr, Rainbow's director of Family and Child Life Services. "In addition to performing in the hospital lobby on Friday morning, Peggy Miller and Willie will also make some special bedside visits while they're here."
Miller became interested in ventriloquism at age 14 after seeing a ventriloquist act at a church revival. With much practice and strong parental support, she began entertaining audiences throughout New York state by age 17. Primarily through word of mouth, Miller then started to accept bookings at various events around the world.
Willie & Company's appearance at the RV Show is sponsored by Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc. of Riverside, Calif. Fleetwood is the largest manufacturer of RVs in the world. The Great Lakes Recreational Vehicle Association, a non-profit trade association promoting the RV lifestyle in Ohio, sponsors the RV Show.
Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital of University Hospitals of Cleveland is a nationally renowned pediatric medical center. It is recognized for excellence in several areas including behavioral pediatrics, cardiology, critical care, cystic fibrosis, neonatology and nursing.
