RUGBY WAR BREAKS OUT IN BOSNIA!; Troops tackle Auld Enemy.

War is set to break out again in Bosnia - between the Scots and the English.

Tension is building within the peacekeeping force as the annual Scotland v England rugby showdown approaches.

And for the British soldiers there is more than the Calcutta Cup at stake - regimental pride is on the line.

The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards are stationed in Bosnia and one of the regiments attached to them are the Green Howards - the same regiment to which England forward Tim Rodber belongs.

And while Tim will be at Twickenham on February 1, he will not be forgotten by his other team mates in Bosnia.

The Guards are backing Scotland captain Rob Wainwright, who recently won a reprieve from being sent to Bosnia.

Major Wainwright, of the Royal Army Medical Corps, had been lined up for a tour of duty in Bosnia.

But Army chiefs decided he will not be going anywhere near there unless there is a full-scale incident.

The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards are confident of Wainwright's abilities and a Scottish victory.

And on February 1, the Guards and the Howards will be trying to offload work on each other so they can cram into their mess to watch the game live on telly and cheer their teams.

At the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards base in Bosnia, Captain Mark Sommers, 27, promised: "Everyone we can spare will get to watch the television.

"The Scots-English split around here is 50-50. So instead of keeping the peace between modern-day warring factions we will be returning to a conflict between old enemies!"
