RUBEN HELBERG CHICAGO, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Ruben Helberg, 68, a veteran
executive with Goldblatt's Department Stores of Chicago passed away on Sept. 21, 1992 in Holy Family Hospital.
At the time of his death, he was vice president and general manager of Hard Lines Merchandising and served as a member of the firm's executive committee. He started his career with Goldblatt's in 1937 as a stock boy and was continuously employed by the company except for the period he served in the Armed Forces during World War II. Most of his career centered around merchandising and he developed a national reputation as a highly regarded retail merchant.
