RTD TO OPERATE SPECIAL BUS LINE AND TWO SHUTTLES FOR FOOTBALL FANS ATTENDING SUPER BOWL EVENTS

 LOS ANGELES, Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The RTD will offer a special bus line from downtown Los Angeles to the Rose Bowl plus two shuttle lines in Pasadena to accommodate football fans attending Super Bowl events this weekend.
 Line 627 will operate on Sunday along Figueroa and First streets with frequent service from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fare will be $3.50 each way.
 On Saturday and Sunday, Line 680 will operate shuttle service between downtown Pasadena and the Rose Bowl. Saturday hours for Line 680 will be 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. to accommodate fans attending the NFL Experience outside the Rose Bowl. Fare on Saturday will be $1.10 each way. Sunday hours for Line 680 will be 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and round-trip tickets will be $2.20.
 On Sunday only, Line 670 will operate shuttle service between Oak Grove Park and the Rose Bowl from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Oak Grove Park, which has a large parking area available to fans arriving in RVs and automobiles, is northwest of the Rose Bowl and east of the 210 Foothill Freeway.
 "We are putting 120 buses into service on Super Bowl weekend to accommodate


sports fans," said Alan F. Pegg, RTD general manager. "The special 600 lines are designed to serve the main hotel district in downtown Los Angeles, as well as fans who drive to Oak Grove Park north of the Rose Bowl, and those who approach from the east, to board in downtown Pasadena."
 Patrons are asked to have exact fare ready, as operators do not make change.
