RTC TO HOLD PRE-AUCTION SEMINARS FOR MAY NORTHEAST REAL ESTATE AUCTION

VALLEY FORGE, Pa., April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) will condu ?informational seminars in Connecticut and New Jersey to assist potential investors for the upcoming auctions of approximately $90 million worth of land, commercial properties and multi-family residential projects throughout the northeast.
The outcry auctions, held next month in Connecticut and New Jersey will be conducted by Kennedy-Wilson, Inc., on behalf of the RTC and Midland Loan Services, L.P.
According to Mark Glannon, auction coordinator for the RTC's Valley Forge, Pa., office, prospective participants are urged to attend free "How-To-Buy Seminars/Seller Financing Workshops" which will provide information regarding the bidder requirements, auction process, and available financing information. "Those who are most informed will find some excellent opportunities on auction day," said Glannon.
An Auction Seminar will be conducted from 4 p.m.-5 p.m. followed by a Seller Financing Workshop that will be conducted from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. The workshop and seminar will be held April 19 at te? Radisson Hotel and Conference Center Cromwell, 100 Berlin Road, Cromwell, Conn., and April 22 at the Radisson Hotel, 200 Atrium Drive, Somerset, N.J.
According to Peter Kasch, chief operating officer for the Eastern Division of Kennedy-Wilson, Inc., the auction-marketing firm, the auctions will involve approximately 145 properties in eight states.
"More than 90 percent of the properties will be sold `absolute' to the highest bidder," said Marty O'Connor, real estate portfolio director of Midland Loan Services, L.P. the Kansas City-based private asset management contractor. "It is very unusual to have so many properties being sold absolute with no minimum reserve price. Bidders can anticipate a true buyers market."
