ROYCE SET TO ROLL WITH SAINTS TREBLE ROUSERS.
ST HELENS are expected to hand debuts to their three marquee signings for the first match at their new pounds 20million Langtree Park ground.
Aussie forward Anthony Laffranchi, New Zealand playmaker Lance Hohaia and former Wigan forward Mark Flanagan should feature against Widnes Vikings on January 20. England Knights pair, Jonny Lomax and Jamie Foster, will also feature in the Karalius Cup encounter.
Coach Royce Simmons confirmed: "We will be putting out our strongest side.
"We will be well on with our season preparations and a game against a Super League club will be a real test.
"It's also good to welcome the Vikings for this historic match as a thank-you for their help and hospitality."
Saints played all their 2011 home matches at Widnes while their new 18,000-capacity home was being completed.
Widnes coach Denis Betts said: "I don't do friendlies. You have to give any match full bore, which is certainly how we'll be treating it."
