ROYAL CARIBBEAN OFFERS MORE HOLIDAY CRUISES IN 1993

MIAMI, Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- With the growing popularity of cruise vacations during the holiday season, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line (NYSE: RCL) will offer more holiday cruises in 1993 than at any time in its 23-year history. Royal Caribbean's nine ships will sail a total of 17 holiday cruises this year -- one more than last year.
"A Royal Caribbean cruise is the perfect way to relax and celebrate this special time of year," said Rod McLeod, Royal Caribbean's executive vice president of sales, marketing and passenger services. "By increasing the number of holiday cruises we offer, we've made it possible for more people to experience a Royal Caribbean holiday at sea."
Royal Caribbean's 17 holiday cruises feature touches such as garland, ornaments, decorated trees, special lighting, religious services, holiday dinner menus, a visit by Santa Claus and New Year's Eve celebration. In a cherished maritime tradition, Royal Caribbean ships hoist evergreen trees up their masts.
Royal Caribbean holiday cruises range from the Baja Mexico to the deep Caribbean and from three nights to two weeks. Fares, including air transportation, begin as low as $700 per person double occupancy.
Royal Caribbean Cruise Line is the world's largest cruise brand by passenger capacity and operates nine modern ships. Additionally, Royal Caribbean has signed contracts for the construction of two 1,800- passenger ships for delivery in 1995 and 1996 with an option to build a third in 1997. The award-winning vessels of the Royal Caribbean fleet offer more than 50 different itineraries and call at over 100 destinations in the Mediterranean, Bermuda, Scandinavia, Alaska, Bahamas, Mexico, Transcanal, Russia and the Caribbean.
