 WITH WESTINGHOUSE SAVANNAH RIVER COMPANY
WEST CHESTER, Pa., April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Roy F. Weston Inc. (NASDAQ: WSTNA) (WESTON) today announced that it was recently awarded three contracts to provide analytical laboratory services to the Westinghouse Savannah River Co. (WSRC) in Aiken, S.C.
Westinghouse is the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Management and Operations Contractor for the Savannah River Site and is responsible for the conduct of all operations at this site.
The three contracts, worth a combined potential of $10.2 million over three years, call for WESTON to provide analytical services for rapid response environmental programs, for groundwater monitoring, and for remedial investigation/feasibility studies (RI/FS), respectively. The contracts call for extensive sampling and analysis activities, which will be performed and managed by personnel in WESTON's Analytics Division and several subcontractors. WESTON has already received task orders against these contracts valued at $2 million.
WESTON has provided RI/FS analytical services in support of WSRC since 1988 and the RI/FS contract is the second consecutive contract WESTON has been awarded under this program. The rapid response and groundwater contracts are first-time awards for WESTON.
