ROTOREX INTERNATIONAL ESTABLISHED TO MARKET ROTARY COMPRESSORS
 BEYOND NORTH AMERICA
BASKING RIDGE, N.J., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Rotorex Corporation has established a new organization, Rotorex International, to market its rotary compressors for air conditioners and other refrigeration applications outside of North America. Based in New York City, Rotorex International is also responsible for licensing the company's state-of- the-art technology for manufacturing high-efficiency rotary compressors, and assisting the business's global sourcing program.
Rotorex was recently acquired by NYCOR, Inc. (NASDAQ: NYCOA), a holding company headquartered in Basking Ridge, N.J., from Fedders Corporation, the room air conditioner manufacturer (NYSE: FJQ).
Rotorex International is headed by Stewart Pei, vice president and general manager. Pei is credited with the successful development of Fedders' vast global sourcing network over the past four years (which included Rotorex sourcing, when Rotorex was part of Fedders).
Pei came to Fedders International from Michigan Trading Company, an importer of components for OEMs, located in Queens, N.Y., where he served as import manager for three years. Earlier, he was general manager of Shing Ya Industries in Taiwan, a manufacturer and exporter of electronic and automotive parts. He was with that firm for three years. Pei has an M.A. degree in economics from Chung Hsin University in Taiwan and an M.B.A. from Long Island University in New York.
Pei commented: "There is tremendous opportunity in sales of rotary compressors throughout the world to manufacturers of room air conditioners and refrigeration equipment. Demand for rotary compressors beyond North America is at least four times greater than in the United States -- and is growing rapidly as standards of living improve within developing nations and in populous, warm-weather regions. Rotorex International intends to market its excess capacity into that growing market."
