 Announces PROMIX 3.0 Process Manufacturing Software
 and Opens Process Manufacturing Solutions Center
 REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Ross Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: ROSS) today solidified its leadership position in the process manufacturing software market by announcing PROMIX Version 3.0.
 This high-functionality software targets the complex needs of process manufacturers in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food/beverage industries. The company also opened its Process Manufacturing Solutions Center, an Atlanta facility designed to demonstrate PROMIX and its high level of integration with complementary manufacturing software solutions.
 PROMIX 3.0 offers significant capabilities designed specifically for the precise demands of its key markets:
 -- Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to provide control and document management of process specification data.
 -- Potency Control allows for the automatic scaling of the recipe or formula with material potency as a primary consideration.
 -- Version Control for the management and approval of process specifications including full effectivity dates.
 -- Sales Forecasting module that allows sales forecasts to be input into the production planning process.
 Additional features include:
 -- Advanced multinational, multilingual, multicurrency and multifacility capabilities.
 -- Developed with Ross Systems' application development environment GEMBASE(TM) for easy customization.
 -- New levels of integration with complementary applications, such as traffic management, data collection, EDI, laboratory information management, maintenance management, and supervisory control systems.

 PROMIX 3.0 operates in the following environments: Digital's Open VMS and VMS, OSF/1, Hewlett Packard's HP/UX and MPE/iX, and plans for IBM's AIX and Microsoft's Windows NT.
