 ROSALIND THOMPSON JOINS FABRI-CENTERS AS
 SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT-HUMAN RESOURCES
 CLEVELAND, March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Fabri-Centers of America, Inc. (NYSE: FCA) today announced that Rosalind Thompson has joined Fabri-Centers as senior vice president-human resources. Thompson is responsible for managing the development and growth of Fabri-Centers' personnel, who now number approximately 12,000.
 Thompson brings more than 17 years of human resources experience to Fabri-Centers. Most recently, she was with the Lane Bryant division of Limited, Inc. She has extensive experience with multi-store retailing, including eight years with the Lucky Stores chain in California.
 "We are very pleased to have a person of Ms. Thompson's professional caliber on our staff," stated Alan Rosskamm, Fabri-Centers' president and chief executive officer. "We are committed to building a strong human resources department, which will have responsibility for developing and implementing effective training programs.  Fabri-Centers operates 664 fabric stores in 38 states, primarily under the name of Jo-Ann Fabrics, and 29 Cargo Express housewares stores in Ohio and Michigan.
