ROP arrests seven on charges of drug abuse, possession in Oman.

Muscat: A total of seven people have been arrested on charges of possessing drugs, in addition to charges of drug abuse in the Wilayat of Sur, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced. Officials revealed that marijuana and heroin were confiscated from the accused. In a statement online, ROP said, "The Combating Drug Department, led by South Sharqiyah Police managed to arrest seven people in the Wilayat of Sur [on charges of] possession and drug abuse." The accused have been referred to judicial authorities for further investigation and trial.
