ROP'S AVIATION WING SAVES 14 PEOPLE IN TWO DAYS, PROVIDES RELIEF SUPPLIES.

The ROP's aviation wing rescued 14 people from different parts of the sultanate following heavy rain on Saturday and Sunday.

An ROP official said, 'During the heavy rain, the aviation wing carried out six rescue operations. On Saturday, four persons were rescued from Wadi Bani Khalid and transferred to Ibra Hospital.'

The official added that on Sunday, six persons were rescued from Wadi Suroor in the wilayat of Samail and three from Wadi al'Aqq. The ROP helicopter also transferred a citizen who fell from a mountain in Seeq area in the wilayat of Al Kamil W'Al Wafi. He was taken to Sur Hospital for treatment.

The official urged people to exercise caution while crossing wadis during rain and avoid driving on wet roads.

The aviation wing also provided relief supplies to Wadi Bani Khalid.
