ROOM WITH A BOO; SPOOK EARLY RENT OUT DRACULA'S CASTLE Airbnb search to find guests for Halloween 'experience'.

Byline: ALISON MUTLER reporters@dailyrecord.co.uk

DRACULA'S castle is to host Airbnb guests at Halloween.

Two people will dine on chicken paprikash in Bran Castle then attempt to kip in red velvet-trimmed coffins - just like Dracula did in the Bram Stoker horror novel. It will be the first time anyone has slept in the Transylvanian fortress since 1948.

Airbnb yesterday launched a competition to find guests. Entrants were asked to use "vampiric wit" to imagine what they would say to Count Dracula if they met him. Winners will be flown to Romania then taken for a night at the castle. If they are too spooked to sleep in the coffins, beds will be available.

Dacre Stoker, great grand-nephew of Bram Stoker, said that staging Halloween night in Dracula castle In was a way of "giving people a good experience and a good scare". He will play the role of Jonathan Harker, a character from the novel who meets Dracula at the castle.

The castle attracts more than 630,000 visitors a year.

? Enter freely, go safely and leave something of the happiness you bring. ? Vampires have been seen after the sun sets. No garlic or garlic-scented items allowed, including perfume. ? Leave silver jewellery at home. The same applies to all holy symbols. ? Do not cross the cutlery. In fact, refrain from placing anything in a cross formation. ? Be aware of the bats in the castle tower. ? Close all curtains before sunrise - The Count is not a fan of mirror selfies.
