RON TINDIGLIA NAMED SENIOR ADVISOR FOR PARAMOUNT DOMESTIC TELEVISION'S 'HARD COPY'

HOLLYWOOD, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Ron Tindiglia has been named senior advisor for Paramount Domestic Television's syndicated reality news magazine, "Hard Copy," it was announced today by Linda Ellman and Linda Bell Blue, executive producers of "Hard Copy."
"We are delighted to bring Ron Tindiglia aboard," said Ellman. "He brings over 25 years of experience to this position, having worked in news, management, and production for many of the nation's leading broadcast organizations." Blue added, "We are confident that Ron will help guide the program on its long-range course. His expertise at the station, network and local news levels will serve `Hard Copy' well."
Tindiglia's successful career in news was launched when he served as news director for WPVI in Philadelphia from 1975 to 1976 where he helped re-build the station's newscast to a dominant market leader. He later accomplished the same for WABC-TV in New York where he served as news director from 1976-1979, turning that station's newscasts into the highest rated in the market -- positions held by both stations today.
In 1979, Tindiglia joined the CBS Network as vice president for news. During his tenure at CBS, Tindiglia served as vice president and station manager at KCBS in Los Angeles from 1981 to 1982 and as vice president and general manager of WCBS-TV in New York from 1982-1983. In 1983, his responsibilities were again broadened when he was reappointed vice president of news for the five CBS television stations.
In 1986, Tindiglia left CBS to found Ron Tindiglia Enterprises -- an independent production and management consulting company which counts CBS among its clients.
Besides his many consulting clients, Tindiglia has produced several critically acclaimed specials, including "The Great American TV Poll" -- a concept which resulted in a series of weekly inserts for the CBS Morning News and two half-hour programs broadcast on the CBS-owned stations.
Tindiglia currently resides in Harrison, N.Y. with his wife and children.
"Hard Copy" is produced and distributed by Paramount Domestic Television. The Paramount Television Group is part of the entertainment operations of Paramount Communications Inc.
