RON BENSION NAMED CHAIRMAN AND CEO, MCA RECREATION SERVICES GROUP AND VICE PRESIDENT, MCA INC.

 UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Ron Bension has been named chairman and chief executive officer of the MCA Recreation Services Group and a vice president of MCA Inc., it was announced today by Sid Sheinberg, president and chief operating officer of MCA Inc.
 Bension was formerly president and chief operating officer, MCA Recreation Services Group, responsible for the daily bi-coastal operations of Universal Studios Hollywood and Florida as well as Yosemite Park and Curry Co.
 Effective immediately, Bension assumes his new position from Jay Stein, who will remain with the company as an active consultant.
 Bension, 38, began his career at Universal Studios Hollywood in 1971. He was named president and chief operating officer of the facility in 1988. In October 1990, he was appointed president and chief operating officer, MCA Recreation Services Group.
 In making the announcement, Sheinberg said, "In combination with Jay Stein as chairman, Ron has led the MCA Recreation Services Group to continually achieve new heights. The last three years have reflected our most aggressive rapid expansion and we look forward to the debut this summer of our newest state-of-the-art attractions -- Back to the Future' in Hollywood and Jaws' in Florida.
 "Ron has also been instrumental in planning and development for further expansion of our existing facilities as well as the ongoing development of new opportunities. His consummate knowledge and understanding of this business is unique because he literally rose through the ranks, working just about every job from the ground up.
