ROMANCE IN THE RAIN; POET'S CORNER THIS poem was sent in by...Pam Smith from Wordsley.

I'll never forget the day that we met I was sheltering from the rain.

We met only by chance With no thoughts of romance Standing under the trees in the lane.

We talked for a while, You had such a nice smile, There was so much I wanted to say.

You told me your name, Life has not been the same Since we met on that rainy day.

Well, we talked and we talked In spite of the weather And it felt really good Just being together.

It was getting quite late So we made a date To meet up the very next day. And right from the start I gave you my heart, True love always finds a way.

Now, every day is fine Because you are mine. Those dark clouds have drifted away.

And come what may, I hope we will stay Together, forever and ever But ... it's early days yet.
