ROLLWAGEN RESIGNS FROM THE ST. PAUL COMPANIES BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The St. Paul Companies announced today that John A. Rollwagen has resigned from its board of directors, effective immediately. Rollwagen was recently nominated as Deputy Secretary of Commerce.
 "We appreciate the skills and vision John shared with us in his service to our board, and wish him well in his new leadership post in the federal government," said Douglas W. Leatherdale, chairman, The St. Paul Companies.
 Rollwagen was elected to the corporation's board of directors in May 1992.
