ROLLS-ROYCE LAUNCHES ITS FIRST EVER LEASING PROGRAM
 LYNDHURST, N.J., Dec. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- As an attractive

alternative to ownership, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Inc. has launched its first-ever leasing program. The Silver Service Lease Program covers the full range of Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars.
According to Robert Wharen, vice president of marketing and sales for Rolls-Royce, the program features a 36-month lease term for business or personal use. As an incentive, Rolls-Royce is reimbursing the luxury car tax until Dec. 31, 1991, only on 1991 motor cars as it currently does on retail purchases.
For example, a Silver Spur II can be leased for $15,000 down and $2,299 per month for a 36-month closed-end term. A Corniche III requires a $20,000 downpayment and a monthly rate of $2,999.
At the end of the three-year lease term, the customer can return the motor car or purchase it at a predetermined residual value established at the outset. The value is based on the motor car being driven up to 7,500 miles a year. "One of the advantages of this program is that Rolls-Royce guarantees the resale price," Wharen said.
"The leasing program is the first step in an ongoing series of Rolls-Royce sponsored programs," Wharen said. "We want to help improve the pace of sales through year-end and we are already seeing an improvement as a result of the new Silver Service Lease Program."
The lease program applies only to authorized Rolls-Royce and Bentley dealers.
