   ROLLINS ENVIRONMENTAL ANNOUNCES FIRE AT DEER PARK, TEXAS FACILITY
    WILMINGTON, Del., Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- During a severe thunder and lightning storm, a fire occurred at approximately 3 p.m. CST, Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Rollins Environmental Services, Inc. (NYSE, PSE: REN) subsidiary facility at Deer Park, Texas, due to elevated temperatures in the fiberglass lined air pollution control equipment, the company announced today.
    The fire was limited to the air pollution control equipment and was brought under control and extinguished in approximately two hours. There were no injuries or harm to the environment.  The company is assessing the damage and commencing a full investigation into the cause. At this time, early estimates are for repairs to take at least four weeks before operations are restored to normal.  The company is insured for both property damage and business interruption.
    The company is a technological leader for commercial incineration in the chemical waste treatment and disposal industry and operates facilities in Baton Rouge and Plaquemine, La.; Bridgeport, N.J., and Deer Park, Texas.  Chempak treatment and disposal services for small- quantity generators of hazardous waste are provided through offices located in Delaware, North Carolina, Michigan, Illinois, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, California, Connecticut and Washington.  The company also operates waste processing, recycling and repackaging facilities in Tipton, Mo., and Los Angeles, and a major laboratory facility in Ann Arbor, Mich.
