ROHM AND HAAS PRESENTS 13TH ANNUAL FINE ARTS ACHIEVEMENT AWARD; CEREMONY

TO HONOR TOP ARTISTS AT PHILADELPHIA'S FOUR PREMIER ART INSTITUTIONS
On Wednesday, May 13, at noon, Rohm and Haas Company will team up with the Moore College of Art and Design, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the University of the Arts and the Tyler School of Art of Temple University, in presenting the Rohm and Haas Fine Arts Achievement Awards to the top artist at each institution.
The luncheon will take place in the Executive Dining Room, 9th floor of the Rohm and Haas headquarters building, Independence Mall West (corner of Sixth and Market streets), Philadelphia.
For 13 years, Rohm and Haas has sponsored this program, which provides a cash award to one student at each of the four Philadelphia institutions for outstanding work displayed at the school's spring exhibitions.
"The award was established by Rohm and Haas to recognize and encourage the developing generation of Philadelphia's fine artists," said Del Payne, manager of corporate social investment at Rohm and Haas.
The winning art works, which were determined by a jury, will become part of the company's permanent art collection, which is currently displayed in the corporate headquarters building and other company locations.
Rohm and Haas Company is a strong contributor to the arts, and provides annual financial support to symphonies, museums, ballet and opera companies, theater programs, art centers and community art programs across the Delaware Valley.
Media coverage of the ceremony and luncheon is invited.
