ROGERS CABLESYSTEMS TO PURCHASE RF AND DIGITAL FIBER EQUIPMENT FROM C-COR

    STATE COLLEGE, Pa., Aug. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Richard E. Perry, chairman and chief executive officer of C-COR Electronics, Inc., (NASDAQ- NMS: CCBL) announced today that Rogers Cablesystems of Canada is purchasing RF and digital fiber equipment from C-COR including line extenders, status monitoring modules, 550 MHz trunk amplifiers, and digital fiber optic equipment.
    David Shefler, director of corporate purchasing for Rogers, commented on the selection of C-COR, "Our experience with C-COR's record of on-time delivery and equipment reliability was a key factor in our choosing them to supply our equipment needs."
    Perry stated, "We are pleased to provide the equipment for this extensive requirement and to continue to demonstrate that we can provide Rogers with both the fiber and RF equipment needed as they expand services to their subscribers throughout Canada."
    C-COR, founded 40 years ago, designs and manufactures high quality electronic equipment used in cable television and data communication systems worldwide.
