RODDICK DUMPED OUT AT QUEEN'S; TENNIS.

ANDY RODDICK became the first big-name casualty at the AEGON Championships when he slumped to 6-4 7-6 (10/8) defeat by Dudi Sela of Israel.

Ranked 63 in the world, Sela claimed one of his biggest scalps after being in control for most of his third-round match against the fourth seed. Sela made early inroads into Roddick's serve, breaking the American in the third game and then capitalising on a flurry of late errors to claim the opening set.

Roddick's problems continued into the next set when he was forced to rescue three break points with Sela producing one cheeky shot by slipping his racket between his legs.

With his back against the wall, Roddick produce a lightening-fast ace in the 11th game to save his service once more.

A tie-break ensued and while Sela squandered one match point, he did not waste the second with an acrobatic backhand sending Roddick crashing out.

Awaiting Sela in the fourth round is Rainer Schuettler of Germany.
