ROCKWELL'S ALLEN-BRADLEY BUSINESS CONSOLIDATES WHOLLY OWNED SUBSIDIARIES IN MEXICO

 MILWAUKEE, April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Rockwell International Corp. (NYSE: ROK) has consolidated the two wholly owned subsidiaries of its Allen-Bradley business in Mexico, to form Allen-Bradley de Mexico S.A.
 The new entity combines Electrica Allen-Bradley S.A. and Controlmatic Allen-Bradley S.A. of Mexico City. According to Stan Ribich, vice president of the Allen-Bradley Latin American Region, both wholly owned subsidiaries were former joint ventures whose outstanding shares were purchased by Rockwell in 1992 and early 1993.
 Allen-Bradley de Mexico S.A. will be responsible for the sales and support of a full line of Allen-Bradley automation control and communication products, power products and motor control centers and for providing complete customer services, including training. The new entity will continue to manufacture automation controls and power products at its facility in Cuautitlan, Mexico.
 Bob Becker becomes vice president and general manager of Allen- Bradley de Mexico S.A., reporting to Ribich. Reporting to Becker becomes Alejandro Alfonso, director of finance and administration, and Juan Ruiz, manager, special projects.
 "The formation of Allen-Bradley de Mexico S.A. further strengthens our commitment to serving the growing Mexican and Latin American automation controls markets," Ribich said. "It also represents a significant step in our global positioning strategy."
 Allen-Bradley de Mexico S.A.'s headquarters is located in Mexico City.
 In addition to industrial automation, Rockwell International has automotive and telecommunications manufacturing locations in Mexico.
