ROCHESTER TEL COMPLETES SALE OF KANSAS COMPANIES

 ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Rochester Telephone Corporation (NYSE: RTC) has completed the sale of the assets of S&A Telephone Company of Kansas, including the stock of S&A's subsidiary, ADB, Inc., which holds cellular interests in a Topeka, Kansas cellular partnership. Rochester Tel previously announced its intention to sell its only telephone company in Kansas on Sept. 30, 1992.
 The Rochester-based telecommunications company now owns 37 telephone properties in 14 states in the Northeast, Midwest and South. Rochester Tel's other principal lines of business include long distance, network systems, and wireless communications.
