PLAINFIELD, N.J., Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Robeson Industries Corp. (NASDAQ: RBSN), a marketer of household appliances and accessories, reported that for the second quarter ended June 30, 1992 net income amounted to $77,876 or $.03 per share based on 3,433,175 shares outstanding compared with net income of $54,185 or $.02 a share based on 2,555,080 shares outstanding a year earlier.

The 1992 amount includes an extraordinary credit of $.07 per share attributable to settlement with certain trade creditors as well as a tax benefit and operating loss carryforward. John Raab, president and CEO, said, "The per share earnings gains despite the substantial increase in the number of shares outstanding were attributable to increasingly efficient operations." He also noted, "Although our overseas sales increased for the six month period, cooler weather in the U.S. accounted for a decrease in fans sales for the second quarter resulting in a slight decrease in total revenue."
Robeson is a leading manufacturer and marketer of household appliances which has developed a series of value added accessories and combination kitchen appliance sets.
