ROBERT M. KOSSICK DECEASED

 WEST PATERSON, N.J., July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- James Peters, president of National Community Bank of New Jersey, announced today the untimely death of Robert M. Kossick, chairman and chief executive officer of the $4 billion bank. Mr. Kossick, 53, suffered a heart attack at home.
 "We grieve for our friend and his family," said Peters, who also said that "today the banking industry lost one of its most successful and colorful leaders."
 Mr. Kossick, who joined National Community Bank in 1979, began his banking career with Citibank, serving both in the U.S. and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining National Community, he had served as president of Empire National Bank in New York.
 A well-known and sought-after speaker, Mr. Kossick was known throughout New Jersey as a voice for entrepreneurial spirit.
