ROBERT L.B. DIENER ELECTED CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF AMERICAN HEALTH PROPERTIES INC. LOS ANGELES, Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- American Health Properties Inc. (NYSE: AHE) reported today that Robert L.B. Diener, president and chief operating officer of the company, has been elected by the board of directors to the additional office of chief executive officer. The announcement was made on behalf of the board of directors by Walter J. McNerney, chairman of the board and current chief executive officer. Diener will assume the chief executive officer position effective May 18, 1992, the date of the company's annual meeting of stockholders. McNerney will continue as chairman of the board. "The election of Robert Diener to the chief executive officer position is a natural evolution given his increasing responsibilities and leadership of the company over the past several years", said McNerney, chairman and current chief executive officer of the company. "Under Robert Diener's leadership as president of the company, the company has continued to show record growth and profits." McNerney stated that he will continue to maintain a close working relationship with Diener and the company in his capacity as chairman of the board and will continue to advise and consult on strategic issues and other matters.
