ROBERT L. HEALY APPOINTED MANAGER OFFEDERAL GOVERNMENT RELATIONS FOR ARCO

 LOS ANGELES, Nov. 24 ~PRNewswire~ -- The appointment of Robert L. Healy as ARCO's manager of Federal Government Relations in Washington D.C. was announced today.
 Healy, 47, succeeds E.F. (Manny) Livaudais Jr., who is retiring Dec. 1 after 36 years of service with ARCO.
 In announcing the appointment, Kenneth R. Dickerson, ARCO senior vice president of External Affairs, said, "Bob Healy brings to this assignment a wealth of experience in Washington and a keen understanding of the workings of government."
 A graduate of Penn State University and the University of Pittsburgh with bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in political science, Healy joined ARCO's Washington office in 1978 as director of Federal Government Relations. He has held a number of positions on the Federal Government Relations staff, including his current post as senior representative.
 Prior to joining ARCO, Healy was an American Political Science Association Congressional fellow serving with Rep. Bill Green and Sen. Hubert Humphrey. He later held staff positions with Sens. Lloyd Bentsen and John Culver.
 Healy is a former adjunct professor of political science at American University where he taught a course about the politics of energy.
 A native of Pennsylvania, Healy and his wife, Janet, have three children and live in LaPlata, Md.
