ROBERT L. FORNARO NAMED USAIR SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT-PLANNING; 'TONY' MCKINNON RESPONSIBLE FOR INTERNATIONAL ALLIANCES

 ROBERT L. FORNARO NAMED USAIR SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT-PLANNING;
 'TONY' MCKINNON RESPONSIBLE FOR INTERNATIONAL ALLIANCES
 ARLINGTON, Va., Feb. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert L. Fornaro, 39, has been named senior vice president-planning for USAir with offices at the airline's Washington corporate headquarters, effective March 2.
 USAir also announced that R.A. "Tony" McKinnon will assume the new position of senior vice president-international alliances. McKinnon was previously senior vice president-strategic planning.
 USAir President and CEO Seth E. Schofield said, "The appointment of Bob Fornaro brings additional strength and scheduling expertise to our marketing department."
 At USAir, Fornaro will report to the executive vice president- marketing and be responsible for scheduling, strategic planning, fleet planning, pricing and inventory management.
 Fornaro most recently was senior vice president-marketing planning for Northwest Airlines, where his responsibilities also included management of the airline's commuter division and industry partnerships.
 Prior to joining Northwest in 1988, Fornaro held senior management positions with Braniff and TransWorld Airlines.
 He holds a BA in economics from Rutgers University and an MA from Harvard University in city and regional planning with emphasis on transportation management.
 In his new position, McKinnon will be responsible for overseeing existing marketing alliances between USAir and several other carriers, including Air France, ANA and Ladeco, and developing new ones.
