ROBERT L. BRAND NAMED VICE PRESIDENT BUSINESS MANAGEMENT FOR McDONNELL DOUGLAS MISSILE SYSTEMS CO. ST. LOUIS, Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert L. Brand has been named vice president business management for McDonnell Douglas Missile Systems Co. effective Feb. 17. In this new position, Brand will be responsible for Missile Systems' internal support and services division as well as serve as chief financial officer. Prior to accepting this appointment, Brand served as MDC corporate controller. Brand joined McDonnell Douglas (NYSE: MD) in 1972 as branch manager, financial reporting in the corporate office. He became manager of accounting practices, and moved into increasingly responsible positions within the financial operations of the corporation before he was promoted to controller in 1987. "We are delighted to have Bob as a member of the Missiles team," Missile Systems president, E. R. 'Randy' Jayne II said. "His background in both public and industry accounting as well as his experience with McDonnell Douglas will certainly be an asset to our company." Prior to joining McDonnell Douglas, Brand gained 11 years of corporate accounting experience, serving as vice president of finance for Meyer Labs for one year, controller for St. Louis Shoe Corp. for five years, and auditing supervisor at Ernst and Young. Brand is a CPA and holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Missouri. Brand succeeds John G.
