ROBERT J. SUTTER NAMED PRESIDENT OF WELLCRAFT MARINE

 SARASOTA, Fla., July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert J. Sutter has been named president of Wellcraft Marine, a Sarasota-based company which is one of the world's largest manufacturers of powerboats.
 Sutter formerly served as president of Genmar Industries, Inc., a Minneapolis-based company whose holdings include some of the boating industry's leading names, including Wellcraft, Hatteras and Aquasport.
 In addition to Sutter's appointment, the company announced the appointment of four divisional presidents as part of a new organizational structure that consolidates Wellcraft's key product lines into four separate divisions.
 Named as divisional presidents were Bruce Donaldson, who will head the Fish Boats Division; Gordon Houser to oversee the High Performance Division; Dave Northrop for the Sportboats & Cruisers Division; and George Sullivan to head the Excel Division.
 Donaldson, who has been vice president of engineering at Wellcraft for the past four years, is a former president of Chris Craft, where he worked for 31 years.
 Houser formerly served as president of Donzi, and joined Wellcraft last year as director of marketing.
 Northrop has been with Wellcraft since 1986, serving as vice president of sales for the past two years.
 Sullivan spearheaded the development of the Excel line, and was previously vice president of marketing fot?.
 In addition to the four product divisions, Wellcraft Marine's new structure includes three divisions for the company's non-product operations. Those divisions will be headed by Mac Spencer as senior vice president of administration, Bill Mudgett as vice president of sales and dealer development, and Sheryl Fawbush as director of design and development engineering.
 "Ever since its founding in 1955, Wellcraft has been a force in the marine industry," said Sutter, who also introduced the company's 1994 new product line at the Dealer Conference. "With this new team in place and our new models, Wellcraft is well-situated for success in the coming year."
 Wellcraft Marine is based in Sarasota, Fla., has a workforce of 600 employees, and has more than 1 million square feet of manufacturing facilities in Sarasota, Manatee and Highland counties, Florida. The company is the largest powerboat division of Genmar Industries, Inc.
