ROBERT E. JOHNSON APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF INTRENET SUBSIDIARY; FORMER MNX EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT TO HEAD ROADRUNNER DISTRIBUTION SERVICES

 EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J., Aug. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Intrenet, Inc. (NASDAQ: INET) announced today the appointment of Robert E. Johnson as president of Roadrunner Distribution Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Intrenet, Inc., effective Aug. 9. Mr. Johnson is formerly the executive vice president and chief operating officer for Missouri Nebraska Express Inc., a subsidiary of MNX, Inc.
 Mr. Johnson, 45, comes to Roadrunner Distribution Services, Inc., headquartered in El Paso, Texas, with 17 years experience in the transportation industry including 13 years with Schnieder National, Inc., the largest privately owned full-truckload company in the U.S.
 Roadrunner Distribution Services, Inc. is an irregular route truckload carrier that transports general commodity freight, automotive parts, electronics and chemicals. Roadrunner Distribution Systems, with approximately 280 employees, operates a fleet of over 200 tractors and over 400 dry van trailers.
 Mr. Johnson is the second major appointee for Intrenet this quarter. James V. Davis, former chief operating officer of Mitsul O.S.K. (America) Inc., was appointed to executive vice president of Intrenet, Inc., on Aug. 2.

 BACKGROUND
 Missouri Nebraska Express, Inc. 1989 - 1993
 Mr. Johnson joined Missouri Nebraska Express, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of MNX, Inc. (MNX) in 1989. While with Missouri Nebraska Express, as chief operating officer, Mr. Johnson was responsible for a workforce of 1,600 and a tractor fleet of 820 with revenues of $115 million. During his tenure with MNX, Mr. Johnson increased productivity and reduced costs and significantly improved the quality of customer service.
 Schneider National, Inc. 1976 - 1989
 Mr. Johnson came to MNX from Schneider National, Inc., where he was general manager responsible for operations, driver management, recruitment and safety programs for the organization.
 Intrenet, Inc., trades under the symbol INET and is a listed issue on the NASD Small Cap Market(R). The company is a holding company, presently headquartered in East Brunswick, for five wholly owned truckload carrier subsidiaries: Roadrunner Trucking, Inc., Roadrunner Distribution Services, Inc., Eck Miller Transportation Corporation, Advanced Distribution System, Inc. and C. I. Whitten Transfer Company, Inc. In 1992, Intrenet, Inc., which employs 1,433 individuals, had revenues of $174 million.
