Here's a look at major road construction this week around the region. Weather conditions may cause delays.
Garden Way: Work between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Commons Drive. Garden Way is barricaded at Commons Drive and is closed to all through traffic. Non-local traffic should use alternate north-south routes, such as Coburg Road or Pioneer Parkway.
Cal Young and Gilham roads: Manhole adjustments and loop installations will be done early in week. Expect delays and lane restrictions.
Bertelsen Road: Manhole adjustments and loop installations done early in week. Expect delays and lane restrictions. Crack sealing between West 11th and 18th avenues.
Willamette Street, between 13th and 19th avenues: Underground boring for utility
relocations and excavation for road repairs. Watch for flaggers and lane detours.
Firland Drive at Agate Street: Excavation of failed asphalt sections. Watch for flaggers and lane restrictions.
Danebo Avenue, between West 11th and Royal avenues: Crack sealing. Lane restrictions and traffic slowdowns.
Royal Avenue, between Terry Street and Bertelsen Road: Crack sealing. Lane restrictions and traffic slowdowns.
Judkins Road: Rehabilitation work continues from Interstate 5 to Glenwood Boulevard, with top lift paving and guardrail installation scheduled this week, followed by driveway paving and shoulder rock. Flaggers control traffic; expect minimal delays.
Jasper Road Extension: Installation of signal lights at the intersection of Main Street and Highway 126 continues this week, with changeover to the new signals scheduled for Thursday afternoon, followed by removal of the temporary system. Work on sidewalks, street lights and landscaping also will continue. Motorists should experience no delays.Traffic continues to use the South 57th/58th detour between Daisy Street and Glacier Drive. Construction hours run from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the project area.
Clear Lake Road: Base rock placement will be done this week, followed by base lift paving beginning Thursday between Gibbs Creek Bridge and Canary Road. Flaggers control traffic; expect 10-15 minute delays.
South Canary Road: Road closed Monday through Thursday for fish culvert replacement at Milepost 90.
Leeward Drive, Rhododendron Loop, Seapine Drive and Woodlands Drive: Asphalt overlay scheduled for last part of the week, followed by driveway paving and shoulder rock. Watch for flaggers; expect 10-minute delays.
McKenzie View Drive: Shoulder widening and installation of new guardrails scheduled this week from Coburg Road to Hill Road. Flaggers control traffic; expect delays of 10-15 minutes. Bicyclists should exercise extra care in construction area.
Spencer Creek Area
Gibralter Loop, Appletree Drive and Appletree Court: Driveway paving scheduled this week, followed by shoulder rock. Watch for flaggers; expect delays of 10-15 minutes.
Nelson Mountain Road: Replacement of the Chickahominy Creek bridge continues, with traffic rerouted onto a one-lane detour bridge. Approaching motorists should yield the right-of-way to traffic already on the bridge.
Lane County chipseal resurfacing projects
Little Lake Road and Rust Road: Monday; expect 10-minute delays.
Swamp Creek Road and Sumich Road: Tuesday; delays up to 10 minutes.
Sumich Road and Blachly-Grange Road: Wednesday; 10-minute delays.
Pope Road and Hager Road: Thursday; delays up to 10 minutes.
