Byline: The Register-GuardHere's a look at major road construction this week around the region. Weather conditions may cause delays.
Eugene-Springfield area
Garden Way in Eugene: Garden Way between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Commons Drive will remain closed to through traffic. Only local residential traffic and patients of the chiropractic and sports medicine clinic will be allowed access. All other traffic should use alternate north-south routes such as Coburg Road or Pioneer Parkway.
Oakway Road in Eugene: Crack sealing between Coburg Road and Cal Young during the daytime hours beginning Monday and continuing for several days. Be prepared for lane detours and reduced speeds in construction zones.
Gilham and Cal Young roads in Eugene: Utility and manhole excavation on Gilham from Belt Line Road to Cal Young, and Cal Young from Coburg Road to Willagillespie. Expect occasional delays and lane detours.
Jasper Road Extension: Work continues on widening the intersection of Highway 126 and Main Street this week, with construction on the center median of Highway 126 north of Main Street. Traffic continues to use the detour on South 57th and 58th streets, and construction continues on the new entrance into the Emerald Isle Mobile Home Park. Expect 5-10 minute delays in the area between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and use other routes if possible.
Florence area
Clear Lake Road: After a two-week delay, excavation work and fill continues on road-widening project between Canary Road and Jensen Lane. Expect 10-15 minute delays.
