ROAD REPORT.
Byline: The Register-GuardEugene-Springfield Area
Garden Way: Closed between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Commons Drive to all thru traffic beginning June 16. Only local residential traffic and patients of the chiropractic and sports medicine clinic will be allowed access. Others use alternate north-south routes such as Coburg Road or Pioneer Parkway.
East 23rd Avenue and Onyx Street: Traffic may be reduced periodically Monday and Tuesday to move a power pole and conduct sewer repairs in cooperation with EWEB.
Jasper Road Extension: Work will continue on the widening of the Highway 126 and Main Street intersection. The contractor will be constructing the center median of Highway 126 north of Main Street. Motorists should be on the lookout for lane closures. Beginning Monday, South 57th/58th Street traffic will be detoured over the newly constructed roadway between Daisy Street and Glacier Drive. Excavation of the old roadway between Daisy and Glacier is scheduled this week. Motorists should expect delays of 10 to 15 minutes.
Florence area
Clear Lake Road: Contractors will continue excavation work and placing of fill on this road-widening project between Canary Road and Jensen Lane. Motorists should expect 10- to 15-minute delays.
