Here's a look at major road construction this week around the region. Weather conditions may cause delays.
Garden Way: Traffic delays and shifting detours for road construction from Commons Drive to Sisters View. Watch for bicyclists merging and possible lane closures on Martin Luther King Boulevard from the Interstate 5 overpass to Marche Chase.
East 19th Avenue: Detours between Villard and Orchard streets for eastbound traffic through Tuesday.
Interstate 5: Construction of detour bridge continues across Willamette River about milepost 192; transport of box beams to bridge location will close Exit Ramp 194A from northbound I-5 to eastbound I-105, from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. as needed beginning Wednesday. Slow lane northbound across the Willamette River Bridge also will be closed. Use alternate routes, if possible. Project should be done by late August.
McKenzie detour bridge: Weather permitting, paving will continue on the south approaches to the detour bridge; watch for lane closures in the area of milepost 197 at night, as well as construction vehicles entering and leaving the freeway and on Armitage Road. Project should be done by late August.
Highway 99 West: Work continues on extension of northbound left turn lane at intersection with Roosevelt Boulevard. Expect nighttime lane closures in both northbound and southbound directions Sunday from midnight to 7 a.m. and Monday through Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Interstate 5: Work continues this week on installation of new traffic signal on off-ramp at Van Duyn Road. Contractor will construct stone embankment and lay pipe, manholes and inlets outside the traffic area. No delays anticipated.
Highway 126: Weather permitting, top lift asphalt paving will occur this week between mileposts 26 and 33; guardrail work also scheduled at the Wildcat bridges. Expect delays of up to 20 minutes.
Highway 58: Work continues from Kitson Ridge to the West Salt Creek Tunnel. Flaggers and pilot cars control traffic; expect 20-minute delays.
Highway 58: Minor repairs continue from Dexter Park to Kitson Ridge Road (mileposts 11 to 39). Expect single-lane traffic controlled by flaggers.
