Here's a look at major road construction this week around the region. Weather conditions may cause delays.
Jasper Road Extension: Work continues on widening the intersection of Highway 126 and Main Street this week. Weather permitting, base lift paving will occur Tuesday or Wednesday. Installation of sidewalks and a new traffic signal at Main Street will continue, along with work on the storm sewer system on Daisy Street between 54th and 58th streets.
Base rock also will be hauled between Main and 57th streets. Expect lane closures on Main Street and Highway 126, with delays up to 10 minutes, especially during paving; seek alternative routes if possible, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pedestrians should cross only at the signalized intersection.
Garden Way: Traffic delays and shifting detours as excavation continues in various locations from Commons Drive north to Sisters View; watch for bicyclists merging with traffic and potholes and loose rock on detour routes.
Broadway: Closed at Oak during daytime construction hours as sidewalk access ramp repairs continue on the east side of the intersection.
West 18th Avenue at Polk Street: Concrete repairs. Watch for lane restrictions.
Kincaid Street between East 11th and East 14th avenues: Concrete repairs. Expect traffic delays and intermittent lane closures.
East 19th Avenue between Villard and Orchard streets: Concrete repairs. Watch for barricades and possible detours.
