Byline: The Register-GuardHere's a look at major road construction this week around the region. Weather conditions may cause delays.
Eugene-Springfield area
Intersection of Highway 126 and Main Street: Work continues on the Jasper Road extension project in Springfield, which this week includes erecting a new traffic signal at the intersection, installing curbs, gutters and sidewalks, and placing rock base between South 57th and Glacier streets. Expect frequent delays and lane closures of five to 10 minutes from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Garden Way in Eugene: Excavation continues at various locations between Commons Drive north to Sisters View Avenue.
Expect periodic closures and construction delays. Bicycle and vehicle traffic will be directed to detour routes while sections of the road and bike paths are closed.
River Road: Underground pipe installation at the intersection of River Avenue and Silver Lane.
Most of the work will occur at night, and no significant traffic impacts are expected.
Florence
Clear Lake Road: Weather permitting, excavation and fill work will continue on the roadway-widening project between Canary Road and Jensen Lane. Expect 10- to 15-minute delays.
Seavey Loop area:
Seavey Way: Finishing work continues on the new Frank Parish Bridge over the Coast Fork of the Willamette River. Access to the Howard Buford Recreation Area and Mount Pisgah Arboretum will remain open. Expect minimal delays.
